POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Vice President (VP) of Finance to help take Quandary Consulting Group (QCG) to the next level while driving our organization’s financial operations. The VP of Finance will lead financial planning by developing effective strategies to improve financial performance. As a member of the executive team, you will be a key decision maker while working cross-functionally to drive business results as we continue to experience massive expansion. The VP of Finance will work hand-in-hand with the CEO to track metrics of growth, profitability, cash flow, and expenses to ensure performance is in line with the company’s strategies and goals.

WILL REPORT TO

Chief Executive Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Develop organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic planning and direction
  • Establish functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Produce accurate and timely Financial Statements in order to interpret company’s financial performance
  • Influence risk management by analyzing liabilities and investments
  • Maximize return on invested funds by identifying capital usage opportunities and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable activities
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of accounting system
  • Oversee cash flow management
  • Oversee the company’s Fixed Assets Accounting including acquisition, capitalization and depreciation of software, technology, etc
  • Maintain detailed and organized General Ledger
  • Develop projections for profit and loss statements, balance sheets, budgets, burn rate, and other cash flow forecasts
  • Oversee completion of fiscal year end audit and business tax return process, including working directly with outside tax preparer / auditor to ensure all tax returns are filed correctly
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators and provide strategic advice to improve operations, forecast challenges, and track corporate goals
  • Assist in refining and implementing finance and accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and analytical processes

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Master’s of Business Administration or Master’s of Science in Finance
  • 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in IT professional services required
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to effectively present critical financial information to the other members of the leadership team
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Experience with creative capital allocation
  • Experience negotiating the purchasing or acquisition of businesses
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly well-versed in Quickbooks
  • Expertise in accrual accounting
  • Experience with business valuation
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • CPA designation preferred

SALARY RANGE

$140,000 - $170,000 annually
